Gallery Weekend & Design Week Berlin 2026 — with Matter of Course
During Gallery Weekend, Matter of Course presents an exhibition that understands growth not as a linear movement driven by maximisation and expansion, but as a layered, natural, and open-ended process.
In the spaces of KMB Berlin, different positions come together, each situating growth as a state between material, time, and attitude.
The exhibition reflects the individual perspectives of the designers: growth appears as densification, as rupture, as subtle shift, or as deliberate gesture. It manifests in the transformation of materials, in the translation of craft into contemporary objects, and in the question of how authorship is defined today.
Here, growth is not framed as an expansive goal, but as a continuous process of reflection, negotiation, and development – a condition of organic prosperity that inscribes itself into the objects.
