Neue Räume Zürich 2026
It was a real pleasure to take part in the NEUE RÄUME exhibition in my home city of Zurich for the first time. As I was born in Switzerland and studied industrial design at the ZHdK in Zurich, it felt like a very special homecoming for me. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces again – including friends, family and former fellow students from my design degree, some of whom I hadn’t seen since I graduated 25 years ago. What lovely surprises!
ELOA – Unique Lights presented itself in a new light in many ways. We had more new products on display than ever before and were able to showcase exciting developments in our collection.
From the OMEGA CENTAURI project, which originally extends 12.5 metres vertically, we’ve developed a horizontal version for use above a table. This has also given rise to table and wall lights that can be customised in various colours.
We also showcased ELOA 2.0 – our newly developed light source (LED Board). The luminaire is now suspended by a single wire rope and can be perfectly balanced using a slider.
MIRA was also on display: a single object is cut to create two distinct objects – a luminaire and a vase. Two functions, two forms, yet both derived from a single body.
Thank you to all our visitors for the wonderful conversations, encounters and the great interest shown in ELOA. We are still buzzing from the fantastic feedback and the inspiring exchanges.
And we are already very much looking forward to the many unique projects that will develop from this in Switzerland.
