The Production

ELOA is a modular lighting system of handmade glass objects with different shapes and their site-specific positions in space. The glass objects are produced in a Glashütte in the Czech republic. ELOA combines the craft of ancient glassblowing with a simple, yet distinct design.

To achieve the large size of the glass objects while working without forms requires a high level of refined craftsmanship and skill, which can only be performed by a few master glassblowers in Bohemia. Each step and each production is supervised on site by the designer and created in close collaboration with the glassblowers.

Each object is individual and unique. The different forms are combined with a large range of colors. Highly pigmented glass sticks made in Germany are individually combined with the glass objects during the process of blowing. This process, as well as the different thickness of glass, create the magic color gradients which characterize ELOAs products and give each object its special aura.

Unique Lights

ELOA is the art of creating an environment for people and objects with light, form and color. Each object is one of a kind – unique in their shape, size and color imprint and thus in their play of light and color.

ELOA is a modular lighting system consisting of handmade glass shapes and their freely selectable arrangement in space. The glass objects are manufactured in glassworks in czech republic. Glassblowing in this object size requires a high level of craftsmanship, which is still practiced by only a few glassblowers. ELOA combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design and modern lighting concepts.
