Sample Sale & Talk on Black Holes by Prof. Krawczynski

We are excited to invite you to a special afternoon at our studio in Berlin. On Saturday, April 18th, 2026, we will host a Sample Sale — a rare opportunity to discover and purchase a selection of unique, mouth-blown glass objects and special pieces from our archive.

A particular highlight of the evening will be a talk on black holes by Prof. Henric Krawczynski at 6:00 PM, held in German. It is a great honor and an enormous joy for us to welcome him. Prof. Krawczynski is the Wilfred R. and Ann Lee Konneker Distinguished Professor of Physics and Chair of the Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis, and one of the leading scientists in the field of high-energy astrophysics and black hole research. He received the 2026 Bruno Rossi Prize, the most prestigious award of the High Energy Astrophysics Division of the American Astronomical Society.

In his talk, he will share fascinating insights into black holes — among the most mysterious phenomena in the universe. The subject resonates deeply with ELOA, as all of our glass objects are inspired by cosmic structures and named after constellations. We look forward to an inspiring encounter between science, light, and design.
