ERIDANI
ERIDANI — our new light object, inspired by the star Epsilon Eridani, a symbol of renewal and creation from dust.
Combining charred reclaimed wood with individually mouth-blown glass, ERIDANI connects past and present, nature and light.
The base of ERIDANI is made from charred reclaimed wood. These pieces of wood were originally used as essential tools during the glassblowing process — forming and shaping the glass as it was being created. The traces left on the wood reflect its role and utility in production, making each base not only functional but also a part of the story of the object.
We are very happy to present ERIDANI for the first time at the Anahita Sadighi Gallery in Berlin, as part of the exhibition “FLOATING WORLDS – ELOA Unique Lights & Japanese Woodblock Prints.” Floating Worlds explores the poetic imagery of Ukiyo-e, Japanese woodblock prints from the Edo period (17th–19th century). These works capture the beauty of fleeting moments — nature, movement, and light — and are shown in dialogue with our luminous glass objects PLEJADES, DSCHUBBA, and ERIDANI, which translate this sense of transience into sculptural form.
